BAZAARO Art Project

This is a mixed media exploration of Art and Fashion. Through a collection of imagery representative of designer fashion houses, street wear, pop culture and hip hop.

Bazaar: is a collection of shops where many things are bought and sold.

Bizarro (DC Comics) : He is an imperfect clone of Superman, with similar traits and powers. He has a similar look but is a poor reflection of Superman, despite him believing to be the true Superman.

BAZAARO: Is a collection of imagery representative of Designer fashion houses, Street wear, Pop culture and HipHop. I am exploring the idea of replicas through the reversed logos featured in many pieces. Many of these iconic brands are so well known that the viewer may not even see the will see this imperfection. Even furthering the ideal of how I see Fashion, Art, Pop Culture and Streetwear.

Part 1 - A quick exploration of iconography through linocut printmaking. This allowed me to explore layering and colours. Prints 22 x Assorted colours ink on paper board. 8” x 10”.

Part 2 - A 10 piece collection of mixed media. These were created using digital art, hand cut stencils, spray paint, acrylic paint and even some gold foil. Each of these paintings represents a different idea or story that I found through my exploration and studies.
